Clean Streams Day 2024
Our 48th annual Clean Streams Day is more than a river cleanup; it celebrates the life of local author and environmental advocate Wilma Dykeman. We honor Dykeman's enduring legacy and profound contributions to the French Broad watershed by continuing her fight for environmental justice.

Thank you to all our volunteers who made a difference at the 48th annual Clean Streams Day!
The collective efforts of our community led to the removal of a staggering 2,000+ pounds of litter, including tires, car parts, a shopping cart, kids’ toys, and more. Their actions have made a significant difference to our environment.
We extend a special thank you to our event sponsor, Wrongway Campground, for their invaluable support. Their fantastic facility was the perfect setting for our afterparty, and their delicious meal was a wonderful way to end the day. We also want to express our gratitude to our sponsors: Archetype Brewing, New Belgium Brewing, French Broad Outfitters, RiverLink, and Devils Foot.
We encourage you to stay connected with Asheville GreenWorks by joining our VOMO hub for future volunteer opportunities. We've launched an exciting series called Hoppy Waters Wednesday, where we clean up different creeks in Buncombe County and then celebrate at a local brewery. It's a great way to make a difference and have fun.
If you enjoy clean streams in our community, please consider supporting future litter cleanups by donating below.
Thank you again, everyone! See you next time.
Thank you to our sponsors
