Asimina triloba

The pawpaw tree is a unique, cold-hardy fruit tree known for its tropical-flavored fruit, often described as a blend of banana, mango, and melon. Ideal for backyard orchards, this low-maintenance tree grows well in a variety of soils and produces large, greenish-yellow fruits with soft, creamy flesh. It is perfect for adding a rare and delicious fruit to your garden. Typically reaching heights of 15-25 feet, the pawpaw tree thrives in partial to full sun and requires cross-pollination for fruit production, so planting more than one is recommended.
